How do you enter Research and Development's machines?

Get the yellow key card to enter the research area, then shrink one player so they can reach the circuit board.

Leave the prototype room's green-card lock for your return trip.
Enter the research area with the yellow card and put one player in the size-changing chamber.
Have the outside player operate the shrink controls, then press the small chamber's separate exit button to release their partner.

Opening the large chamber door again restores your partner's size. Use the separate exit button when you want them to stay small.

Where is the Research and Development component puzzle?

Where do you find the 3D resin recipe puzzle?

The resin machine comes after the component puzzle; collect the small floppy disc on the way and keep carrying it. Have your outside partner move the books for your route onward, then use the Experimental resin notes for the 3D resin recipe puzzle.

When do you need the Research and Development floppy disc?

You need the disc you collected earlier when you reach the machine's numbered floppy-disc barriers and the outside computer asks for a regular-size disc. Keep that item with you and follow the Research and Development floppy disc size walkthrough before trying to reach the internal dial station.

Where are the Research and Development direction dials?
